NOVUS AWARDED CONTRACT WITH THE CHRISTIE CANCER CENTRE

We have continued to build on our reputation within the healthcare sector, having been awarded a series of hospital-based contracts across the North West and Midlands.

We have a vast experience of working in live healthcare environments, and our presence in the sector has played a vital role in the ongoing success of our ambitious five-year growth strategy.

Further expanding our presence in the North West, we recently completed an external works contract with Alder Hey Children’s NHS Foundation Trust, one of the largest children’s hospitals in Europe. We were selected as main contractor for the project due to our reputation for completing this type of work in a timely, cost-effective and high-quality manner, while also keeping disruption for patients, staff and visitors to a minimum. Works included the excavation and installation of new drainage connections, as well as the integration of new mechanical and electrical systems over a one-month period.

Also in the North West, we have secured a significant internal refurbishment contract for Lancashire Teaching Hospital in Preston. This significant contract was awarded through the prestigious RISE framework, and will see our expert team complete a series of refurbishment works across nine site buildings.

We have also been successful in our tender for internal refurbishment works at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham. This contract comprises two phases, including a 30-week full refurbishment of the on-site robot pharmacy which has now been completed.

Commenting on the contractor’s recent successes across the healthcare sector, our Head of Operations, Chris Murphy, said:

“We’re delighted to have ended 2022 in such a positive way and we’re looking forward to continuing to build on this success in 2023 and beyond. “We’re proud to have been awarded this latest series of prestigious contracts across the healthcare sector thanks to our reputation for producing quality results under the unique challenges of working in live hospital environments.”

“The healthcare sector is an important workstream for Novus’ growth ambitions, so we’re delighted to have ended 2022 in such a positive way. We’re looking forward to continuing to build on this success in 2023 and beyond
