Our Family

JOHN SEDDON

John started work in the family business in 1952 as an apprentice bricklayer. He progressed through the business and became Seddon Group Ltd Chairman in 1978. John retired as Chairman after 28 years and since then has been a shareholder of the family company.

STUART SEDDON

Stuart joined the family business in 1978 as an apprentice bricklayer. He progressed and became a Director of Seddon (Stoke) in the late 1980s, the company that is now known as Novus, after the partition of the Seddon Group. After retiring from the day-to-day business of Novus, Stuart has remained a shareholder of the family company.

HELEN OAKEY

Helen is a chartered surveyor and joined the family business in 1986. Helen supports Novus in property matters and is a shareholder of the family company.

SUSAN NUTTALL

Susan is involved with our corporate governance and our next generation programme. Susan is also a keen member of The Institute for Family Business and is a shareholder of the family company.

SOPHIE SEDDON-HALL

Sophie started in the business as a Marketing Assistant. After graduating in Business Management, Sophie progressed her career and was an instrumental part of the Seddon to Novus rebrand. Sophie received industry acclaim for this work, receiving a highly commended award for Young Marketer of the Year at the Construction Marketing Awards 2013. Sophie remains a shareholder of the family company.
