LocationSite based covering Cumbria and Lancashire. Standard Hours Monday- Friday 39 hours plus out of hours on call.

Start Date: 3rd March 2025.

Based on a Social Housing Tenanted property Responsive Repairs contract, your role will be varied, and customer focused, surrounded by like-minded teammates who work together to ensure an excellent service. To make your day more effective our central support team will plan your work to ensure customer needs are met whilst balancing your travel time.  In this role, you’ll get to see the impact your skills have on the people and communities you work with every day; and all whilst working in a secure, inclusive, and caring environment.

An outline of your responsibilities and experience 

  • Previous experience working as a dedicated domestic Plumber including but not limited replacing sink and bathroom wastes, refurbishment of shower heads, toilet and tap replacements following Internal refurbishment works, ideally within social housing, tenanted properties.
  • Responsive repairs call out on domestic properties- assessment of works required, identifying solutions and carrying out repairs.
  • Working from job tickets or a handheld device daily, you will be trusted to manage your own day and workload effectively.
  • Always delivering an outstanding service to customers with the understanding that you are working in their homes.
  • Following Novus’ exemplary Health and Safety policies and standards
  • A Full UK Driving licence is essential. 
  • This role requires a DBS check. 
  • Unvented experience is also desirable

About You

As a Plumber you will need to hold a minimum of an NVQ level 2 plumbing qualification. You will be comfortable in working in a live environment, working in occupied properties the majority of the time. What is equally as important is the ability to take responsibility to use your initiative to identify solutions and ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner, delivering customer satisfaction.
