Salary: Circa £45,000 per annum

Typically working 8.30am – 5.00pm Monday to Friday

Join our Finance team as a Finance Analyst, supporting accounting and business partnering activities. You’ll produce and maintain accurate budget and forecast models, deliver insightful analysis and reporting, and coordinate statutory obligations. An outline of your responsibilities as a Finance Analyst

Financial Planning

  • Annual Budgeting: Lead the preparation and coordination of the annual budget cycle, ensuring accuracy and alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Forecasting: Produce and update monthly forecasts, incorporating business performance trends and stakeholder input to support agile decision-making.
  • Cashflow Management: Maintain and refine daily and monthly cashflow models to monitor liquidity, anticipate variances, and provide proactive recommendations.

Analysis & Reporting

  • Data Visualisation: Design and develop interactive Power BI dashboards to present financial insights clearly and support data-driven decisions.
  • Performance Analysis: Deliver working capital updates, including detailed analysis of working capital days, and monitor fleet spend to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Business Reporting: Produce routine financial reports and respond promptly to ad hoc requests from accountants, business partners, and senior stakeholders, ensuring clarity and timeliness.

Statutory Reporting

  • Compliance Submissions: Prepare and coordinate statutory reports including Gender Pay Gap analysis, Payment Practices reporting, Streamlined Energy and Carbon Reporting (SECR), and Office for National Statistics (ONS) returns.
  • Accuracy & Governance: Ensure all submissions meet regulatory requirements and deadlines, maintaining robust documentation and audit trails.

About You

You will bring experience in financial planning and analysis, with strong attention to detail and commercial acumen. Advanced Excel skills are essential, and Power BI knowledge is a plus. Having ACA/ACCA/ CIMA part qualified will support you in this role. It goes without saying that communication skills, strong commercial acumen and confidence to present your findings.
