seeking an enthusiastic People
Services Manager to
work remotely but commutable on a regular basis to our Stoke on Trent Head
Office.

Summary- People Services Manager
Ensuring the People Services processes and
systems are aligned to support the Novus business. Significantly develop and
improve the provision and use of people management information for informed
business decisions.
Managing a small team to deliver exceptional
customer service and offer business insight. Manage, analyse, and develop the
people strategy to ensure that organisational development activities are
aligned to strategic goals and that progress is measured and demonstrable.
Leading strategies and agendas that are people focused and continuously challenge the status quo.
Successfully implement and achieve
efficiencies from internal HR systems enabling seamless people processes that
are business focused.
Main Responsibilities – People Services Manager
- Ensure plans are made for the incremental steps required
to implement and realise the 3-year people plan. - Retain People at the forefront of policy and procedure,
challenging the status quo where this is not the case and identifying solutions - Lead on initiatives that support and strengthen the employee
life cycle of our colleagues - Ensure employee benefits are fully utilised as part of
the attraction strategy and employees use them. - Be the HR Lead on implementing discrete HR projects
within the organisation - Agree role responsibilities and accountabilities with
direct reports, measuring the quantity and quality of output against agreed
objectives - Measure performance of People Services as a department by
utilising key metrics - Measure and understand time to process to enable appropriate
planning and evidence based business cases to be designed around automation or
system improvements - Understand the features of inhouse systems to maximise use,
manage relations with key stakeholders to enable continuous review of system
capabilities - Identify continuous improvements to and simplifications of
existing HR processes and procedures - Set up and maintain an online forum that managers can access
on a range of people related matters - Manage processes to ensure the teams compliance with
relevant legislation - Enable the end-to-end HR and Training processes ensuring
maximining efficiency, duplication of effort and full automation through
workflows across all areas - Transform and continuously improve the quality of output
and accuracy of data - Working with Marketing and bid teams , develop and
maintain all People Services content for organisational comms. Ensure the development
and usefulness of the produced monthly MI Board Report data and build bespoke
reports/dashboards as required enabling manager self service - Identify improvement opportunities through trend analysis
and work with colleagues to create measured and implemented plans to drive
improvements as targeted
Key skills
- Project and People management
- HR systems, process and workflow development and
management along with MI reporting - Influence, negotiation and strong communication skills
(written and oral) - Able to deliver end to end processes with evidence of
implemented audits controls - Strategic and commercial thinker that understands the
importance in getting the basics right and plans solutions against reactive
working. - Excellent Microsoft office skills on all packages
- Progressive Analytical thinker who can strategically
align business plans with actions - Excels at building strong relationships but can also be
curious and disruptive - Previous experience of driving forward initiatives that
promote forward stakeholder strategies. - CIPD level 7 qualification desirable
