a result of our success we are seeking an enthusiastic Head
of Projects, covering Warrington/Manchester and surrounding
areas. The role will be managing a wide range of NHS
Refurbishment/Maintenance/Planned Works projects, experience in this area is essential
to the role.

Summary – Head
of Projects
The Head
of Projects is a senior member of the branch who will be reporting into the
Head of Operations for the region.
Experienced Head of Projects to lead
on a wide range of NHS projects. Responsible for the delivery and overall
success of each Contract. You will manage a team of experienced Contracts
Managers ensuring progress and performance is reported on.
A strategic mindset with the ability to lead and develop their subordinates. In addition to their projects responsibilities Head of Projects will have both Commercial and Operational acumen, ensuring the correct financial targets are achieved, experience of Construction Phase Plans and the bid process are essential. As is working in a Clean, Live Environment.
The goal is to ensure every project
will be delivered successfully, adding the highest possible value to the
organisation.
Key Responsibilities – Head
of Projects
- Manage projects performance
- Monitor and report cost & schedule performance for the projects
- Chair projects review, participate in project resources allocation
- Develop and establish client relationships to increase revenue with
strong communication skills across all levels of stakeholder (internal and
external) - Develops and establishes policies, strategies, and operating objectives
consistent with those of the organization to ensure efficient and effective
implementation of projects - Manages operational contract/project managers / Proven ability /
background of managing multiple teams across projects varying in size - Deliver and manage bids
- Track and report on projects to create visibility of all workflow in
order to effectively track and, manage against wider business strategy - Refine project budgets when required to ensure timeliness and financial
responsibility
Key skills and Qualifications
- Significant
experience (10 years) leading projects preferably NHS works - Thorough
understanding of project/program management techniques and methods - Excellent
Knowledge of performance evaluation techniques and key metrics - Able to ensure
built in engineered safety and quality in design, delivery and assurance of
projects - Motivated self-starter and ability to
manage own workload – essential - Team player and willing to get involved in the detail when needed – essential
- IT literate – essential
- Flexible and able to travel within the UK when required – essential
