We are proud to have successfully delivered the refurbishment of Blocks RM-A, RM-B, and RM-C and USK at Wolverhampton University, a critical component of the University’s ongoing upgrade plan.

Scope:

These blocks had been out of use since the Covid-19 pandemic, and the project required careful planning to bring them back into safe, modern, and fully functional student accommodation within a tight programme and budgetary constraints. Project Highlights:

  • Fire safety and security upgrades: All internal doors were replaced with new fire doors, complemented by a state-of-the-art door access control system, ensuring both compliance and enhanced resident security
  • Modern living facilities: New kitchens, shower rooms, and WCs were installed throughout the blocks, designed and finished to the highest standards to meet the expectations of contemporary student accommodation
  • Full internal refurbishment: New flooring and complete decoration across all areas provided a fresh, welcoming environment, combining durability with aesthetic appeal
  • Efficient delivery in dormant buildings: Working in blocks that had been mothballed for an extended period, we carefully phased the works to maintain programme efficiency and minimise disruption

Outcome:

The project was delivered on programme and within budget, demonstrating our ability to manage complex refurbishments under challenging conditions while maintaining a high-quality finish throughout.

This scheme is a key part of Wolverhampton University’s long-term strategy to enhance its student living environments. Through meticulous planning, skilled execution, and attention to detail, the refurbishment has transformed previously unused blocks into safe, modern, and fully operational student accommodation, supporting the University’s commitment to providing comfortable, high-quality residential spaces for its students.
