Situated in the grounds of The Royal Stoke Hospital, we have carried out works to refigure the existing office, reception and waiting areas, providing an exciting brand-new look for the department.

Background to the project

Run by the University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust, the Russel Building provides medical services for many patients within the area. Our team of dedicated experts carried out a number of works, which saw the refurbishment of the entire department.

What makes this project stand out?

The Russell Building was vacated prior to us starting the scheme, however there were tight deadlines to get the new department operational for the staff and members of the public. This meant our team had to work quickly and efficiently, making sure our excellent quality of service still remained at its highest.

We also had to take a collaborative approach as another contractor was working on the site in the same area. This approach helped us completed the works on time and allowed the hospital to get up and running and open for business in a timely manner.

Access and ingress to the area of works was also via a very busy road which was frequently used by hospital staff, patients, and members of the public. In order to avoid congestion within the area, our deliveries to site were planned well in advance and out of peak hours.

Communication was key to the successful delivery of this project. We held weekly video conference calls with all stakeholders along with site visits with the Trust to ensure everyone was kept up to date on the progress of the works.
