Morrisons Store, Market Drayton
Large-scale interior refurbishment and new extension
We were engaged by Morrisons to carry out a comprehensive three-month refurbishment project to completely revamp and modernise their Market Drayton store, inside and out.
Project Restrictions
The store remained open to customers and fully operational throughout the project, which meant that most of the works had to be carried out at night, with everything cleared away as much as practicable – ready for store opening each day.
In-Store Refurbishments
We constructed an extension to form a new café area which received a full internal fit-out, to create a modern space with new seating and up-to-date decor. Following the extension, the sales floor was reconfigured and refurbished following expansion into the old café area.
As well as some vital structural works, we facilitated new refrigerated cases and carried out electrical upgrades, layout modifications, and full decoration works.
Fuel Station Refurbishments
The project also encompassed works to the store’s fuel station. We carried out a full internal upgrade, decorated the garage canopy soffit, fitted new signage, re-tarmacked and relined areas of the car park and created an enclosed garden centre area alongside the existing front atrium. The works to the car park and the store’s exterior completed the modern new look, bringing the project together.
Improved Customer Experience
The contemporary new café area, modified store layout, and newly updated interior have improved the overall customer shopping experience by modernising the whole store.
