Jigsaw Homes is a social housing provider with over 35,000 homes in the North West and East Midlands. Their mission is “Creating homes, Building Lives”, and they have a vision for “everyone to live successfully in a home they can afford”.

We have partnered with Jigsaw Homes since 2021, with works covering the Miles Platting area, 1.4 miles from Manchester city centre, which has undergone extensive regeneration.

We have installed new kitchens and bathrooms to over 824 properties for Jigsaw Homes since 2021, at a typical run rate of 6-7 kitchens and bathrooms per week. We have also installed 255 new boilers, and due to our excellent working relationship, completed fire upgrades.

The typical scope of works on bathrooms includes the removal of the existing bathroom suite, first fixing plumbing and electrics, new plumbing, and electrics, including upgrading existing electrical installations; over bath showers, baths, wash and hand basins, toilets, taps, tiling and wallboards, vinyl floor coverings, and any door adjustments associated with flooring and decoration. Kitchen replacement includes removing/stripping the old kitchen, 1st fix plumbing and electrics, plastering and flooring, new kitchen units, plumbing, re-tiling, electrical upgrades where necessary, boiler replacements (as required) new flooring and general decoration.

We also deliver external lifecycle works to approximately 200 properties per annum, which includes external masonry painting, groundworks, landscaping, timber fencing repairs and replacements, painting to timber fencing using weather resistant paint, replacement of external PVC components with pre-prepared PVC products (no need to paint), wash down and cleaning of metal railings and gates, porch refurbishments, canopy replacements, gutter cleaning, and internal upgrades (e.g., electricals, fire doors, decorations).

Most properties are occupied whilst works take place; we therefore coordinate closely with Jigsaw and each customer to minimise disruption. Our average Customer Satisfaction score over the complete framework is 97%. One customer said “Absolutely fantastic from start to finish!
