Significant retrofit upgrade works for our longstanding customer, Bromford Housing.
What work did Novus carry out?
We have completed a significant retrofit upgrade works for our longstanding customer, Bromford Housing, working in partnership with them since 2013. The works that were carried out include:
- Replacement of external doors
- Complete roofing maintenance and repair
- Roofline replacement works
- Pitched and flat roof replacement and repair
- Associated insulation upgrades
Installing a Mansard roof massively increased the thermal performance of Bromford housing stock in Cirencester.
Our team of excellence
Novus provided Bromford with a dedicated delivery team, who carried out the works to a very high quality and complied to all industry standards and polices. Our reliable local supply chain of sub-contractors and suppliers worked alongside our employed operatives to make sure the contract was competed on-time, safely and correctly.
The process
All properties were surveyed prior to commencement to determine suitable specifications. At this time, together with our supply chain partners and the Bromford team, we used our combined experience to jointly appraise technical specifications and operating procedures, working together to deliver improved performance and efficiency.
Compliance was continuously monitored with a robust programme of inspections and audits. These audits identify areas for improvement. The corrective actions are then communicated to the wider management team for follow up.
Novus takes quality seriously
The roofing works were certified by Competent Roofer, who carried out random inspections prior to issuing the handover certificate. Any roofing works Novus carries out conforms to the requirements of Building Regulations.
All external wall insulation works were audited by the system manufacturer during the works and upon completion to assure compliance to specification. Gasworks were also notified to Novus’ Gas Compliance team and Bromford’s H&S Officer to ensure the safety of all stakeholders.

Customer satisfaction was (and still is) measured by the client and recorded monthly. We have consistently achieved the contract KPI’s since our appointment in 2013.
We provided Bromford Housing with a dedicated Contract Manager who overlooked operational performance as well as keeping our client informed at every stage of the works.
Novus and Bromford have worked together successfully in partnership for many years, developing an excellent working relationship that continues to deliver great outcomes.
