SUPER NOVUS SCORES AGAIN WITH £9 MILLION BROMFORD CONTRACT WIN

Novus has extended its winning streak with a £9 million contract to provide cyclical decorations and pre-decoration repairs to thousands of homes owned by regional housing association Bromford.

The win is the biggest of the year to date for us, and follows a hugely successful summer for the family-owned business, which we recently announced that we had secured contracts and frameworks worth £23 million in August and September alone.

What will the contract involve?

The contract covers Bromford’s homes in the West Midlands, Shropshire, Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Northamptonshire. In total, we will undertake repairs and redecorations for up to 21,000 social and affordable properties.

Novus secured the contract through our flagship ‘Maintain’ service following a competitive bid process, during which we scored particularly highly on our customer care and communication proposition, and our social value and corporate social responsibility – two areas Novus prizes very highly and has placed great importance on both internally and externally for a number of years.

When will the work begin?

The repair and decoration services are expected to commence on Bromford’s housing stock in November 2021, with the contract in place for the next six years with the option to extend for a further two years.

Commenting on the significant contract, Novus’ Midlands Head of Operations Gary Clay said: “As previous incumbent contractor for Bromford, we are delighted to have re-secured this contract as we continue to build on our fantastic working relationship with the organisation. Not only are we proud to have secured a contract of this size with a forward-thinking client like Bromford, we are incredibly proud of the manner in which it was won.

“As a business, we have always understood the importance of taking care of residents and keeping them informed and involved in the works we undertake to improve their homes. We also make sure we build social value into every project we do – whether that’s improving the local area through refurbishing community facilities, or giving our staff dedicated time to volunteer for local good causes.

“Bromford not only recognises the value of this, but flagged our approach to these two areas as the backbone of why they have chosen to work with us on this project. We are simply thrilled to be working with a housing association that shares our values and approach to customer care.”

Nick Wooldridge, investment delivery manager at Bromford added: “We’ve developed an excellent working relationship with Novus and look forward to building on this during the course of this latest contract. Over the years ahead, the team from Novus will be working with thousands of our customers, helping us to maintain and improve homes in which our customers can thrive.”
