Scottish contract boost for Novus
We are continuing to develop our client base in Scotland, having won a joint procurement bid to provide services to Manor Estates Housing Association and Melville Housing Association.
We will begin working with the associations in April as part of a five-year deal to provide reactive and emergency repairs to their housing stock, factored properties and void properties in various locations, predominantly Edinburgh  and Midlothian.
The new £1.5 million-a-year contract builds on our existing relationship with Manor Estates, to whom we already provide painting and decorating services.
Manor Estates has 974 properties which require maintenance and it is expected we will complete 3,000 repairs for the association each year, to a value of about £500,000.
Midlothian-based Melville Housing, meanwhile, has 1,949 properties in various areas, including Midlothian, Lanarkshire, Edinburgh and East Lothian. We expect to carry out about 6,000 repairs for the association every year, to a value of about £1m.
Derek Ferguson, strategic operations manager for Scotland, said: “We’re delighted to be working with Manor Estates and Melville Housing as part of this joint venture between the associations. We look forward to working in partnership with both organisations and are confident that our first class reactive maintenance service will give a real boost to both associations and to their many tenants.”
