NOVUS TAKES THE LEAD ON DECARBONISATION AT HOUSING 2022

We have stepped up our presence at Housing 2022, with our team of senior leaders on hand to offer expert advice including delivering two speaker sessions on one of the event’s hot topics: decarbonisation.

As well as exhibiting throughout the three-day conference by the Chartered Institute of Housing, our Head of Operations, Gary Clay, participated in a well-attended session on the first day of the event, advising visitors from across the housing industry on how businesses can unlock the finances to make net zero a reality. The session covered several strategies to maximise chances of securing funding, including the value of collaboration between contractors and local authorities.

Our Head of Business Development, Claire Bailey-Jones, also joined as a panellist on the on the BEIS and Unlock Net Zero workshop covering SHDF Wave Two funding. It was Claire’s second time speaking at the conference on behalf of Novus, having delivered a speaker session at Housing 2021, which played a key role in the contractor winning £9 million of new business as a direct result of last year’s event.

We are highly experienced in decarbonisation strategies, and launched our dedicated Sustain service earlier this year. Sustain provides a one-stop-shop to assist social housing landlords meet decarbonisation targets across their property portfolios. Our in-house experts and external partners offer advice and delivery in not only reducing carbon, but also in achieving funding. Benefits of this dedicated service include free of charge funding submissions and Novus-led compliance applications to ensure zero client risk.

Commenting on the event, Lee Hartley, our Executive Director said: “Housing is the largest annual housing festival in Europe and is always a key event in the industry’s calendar, so we’re delighted to have been on hand to share our expertise with all visiting stakeholders including clients, consultants, advisors and the supply chain.
