Novus spreads festive cheer
Across the country, our teams have been supporting good causes during the festive season. From food bank donations to fundraising events, we’ve been spreading Christmas cheer nationwide. Find out what just some of our offices have been up to below.
South West Coast
Our South West coast team has surprised a group of school children at Curledge Street Academy in Devon to a visit from Father Christmas, with our very own Paul Tricker dressing up as Santa to deliver presents (below).

Meanwhile, our York office has collected Christmas treats for a local youth homelessness charity called SASH. The collection of biscuits, toiletries, chocolates and much more was dropped off by the York team to be distributed by SASH.
In the York area, we’ve also donated a Christmas hamper to the Salvation Army, which will be distributed to the people they will be helping over the festive season.
In Lancaster, the team working on the UPP contract took part in the Christmas Fayre at Lancaster University, with Novus the bear making a guest appearance (below). The event raised £734 for St John’s Hospice, which provides support to the community in the South Lakes, North Lancashire and North Yorkshire.

Central East
In the Central East Novus region, Emma Bracewell and Sue Coulson made a donation to the Easingwold District Lions Club, which is part of one of the largest volunteering organisations in the world.
Cambridge and the East Midlands
For Cotman Housing Association, the Cambridge team has collected two truckloads of meat and vegetables from a local farm, packed them into boxes and helped to distribute them to people in Norwich. In the East Midlands, the Novus office collected tins and dried food and donated them to their local food bank to help others.
Our Wrexham team has taken Christmas cheer to Oswestry Hospital, where presents have been handed to patients on the children’s ward from a Santa’s sleigh (below). Employees are also holding a Santa Day at the Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre in Craven Arms, with funds being raised for the centre through a tombola and raffle.

Our team in Burton has donated presents and selection boxes to the Pathway Project in Lichfield. Pathway is a registered charity offering sanctuary to women and children who have experienced domestic violence. Scheme manager Jan was delighted to receive our donations and said the children will love the gifts.

Give a Gift
Following our Give a Gift appeal, we are dropping off £1,000 worth of presents at Great Ormond Street Hospital in London, to be handed out to young patients over the Christmas period. The specialist children’s hospital is the partner charity of our client, Whitbread. We also donated selection boxes to children to the UHNS charitable trust at North Staffordshire hospital (below).
