Novus wins string of East Midlands contracts
We have won a string of high profile contracts with social housing providers in the East Midlands, valued at more than £775,000, as we maintain our robust presence in the marketplace.

For North West Leicestershire District Council, Novus has carried out internal and external maintenance and refurbishment works on 1,200 properties to the highest of standards.

Initially we were contracted to complete external works only. Due to the success of the contract, the council extended this to include internal works to 30 social housing blocks.

Externally, our team completed reroofing, fascia and soffit works, installed new down pipes, and carried out asbestos removal and window replacement work. Internally, we laid new flooring and fitted new kitchens to our usual high standards, receiving excellent feedback from satisfied clients and tenants.

Meanwhile, for Charnwood Borough Council, we applied fire retardant coatings to staircases in 12 three-storey accommodation blocks on Tuckers Road in Loughborough, to ensure the buildings met with stringent fire regulations. We also completed external pre-paint repairs and redecoration at 40 properties owned by the local authority, achieving the desired results for the client and residents.

In Derbyshire, we are delivering housing adaptation works for disabled people at properties owned by Derbyshire County Council, as part of an ongoing contract. Our team adapts bathrooms, installs ramps and constructs extensions at homes across the county on an ongoing basis.

David Aldred, operations manager, said: “The high quality work we have delivered on these contracts demonstrates Novus’ ability as a whole company to provide exceptional service on a local level, with the national strength of the business behind us. We remain robust in our target sectors in the East Midlands and across the whole country, and look forward to continuing our existing partnerships and extending our client base.”
