NOVUS SHORTLISTED FOR PRESTIGIOUS CONSTRUCTION MARKETING AWARD

We’re proud to have been shortlisted at the Construction Marketing Awards for the Best Contractor Marketing Campaign category following our successful presence at the CIH Housing 2022 exhibition.
The campaign included a standout presence across the three days of the event, and engaging internal communications campaign, as well as a strong PR provision with impressive, targeted coverage reach. This multi-stream approach to marketing has been instrumental in the successful execution of our ambitious five-year growth strategy.
Construction Marketing Awards
These prestigious awards showcase the construction industry’s creativity, innovation and effectiveness in marketing. Endorsed by the Charted Institute of Marketing Construction Industry group, these awards allow businesses to submit entries that demonstrate how their work helps drive new business and the importance of marketing in supporting the broader business strategy. Being shortlisted or winning an award gains recognition from the construction industry and highlights good marketing efforts that are taking place to improve the image of construction.
Best Contractor Marketing Campaign
Our marketing plays a vital role in further establishing us as a leading 21st century contractor, following the streamlining of our services and the formation of our new business team. Led by Head of Marketing Aine Girn, 2021 saw us recruit a new four-strong marketing team and implement a robust internal and external marketing strategy.
We have highlighted our efforts through our award-winning National Inclusion Week internal communications campaign, which saw us support our commitments in becoming a more inclusive and diverse workplace. Along with this we’ve also gained significant investment in CSR and social value.
Launched in 2021, our Women in Novus (WiN) Network has played a vital role in our six-point plan to improve inclusivity, including the introduction of our Family Friendly Policy and Menopause Policy. This company-wide initiative brings together females from across the business as well as male allies at all levels, with outcomes relayed to the wider business through a strong internal communications strategy.
We have also implemented a strong external marketing campaign with a focus on positive PR, provided by construction marketing specialist agency Harris Creative. Harris utilised its extensive knowledge and press contacts across the industry to ensure regular and varied coverage in order to raise our profile among our peers and potential clients.
Our press campaign was supported by a comprehensive awards strategy, with industry awards used not only to increase presence among industry decision makers but also in recognition of the investments and efforts we have made for continuous improvement. This strategy saw us achieve twelve Finalist places and three award wins from June 2021 – Sept 2022 alone.
PR was also used to support our strategy to utilise event marketing to increase our presence across our core sectors of housing, healthcare and education. A key example of this is the CIH Housing 2022 exhibition – Europe’s largest housing conference. We invested heavily in our presence at the three-day event, with an attention-grabbing and well-placed stand as well as two members of our senior leadership team taking part in key speaker sessions on decarbonisation – a critical topic for our client base. Furthermore, we hosted ten fringe events across the three days for existing and potential clients.
Head of Marketing Aine Grin commented:
