NOVUS SECURES TWO FINALIST PLACES AT THE UNLOCK NET ZERO LIVE AWARDS
We’re thrilled to have been shortlisted at the Unlock Net Zero Live Awards in two categories including Company/Organisation of the Year and Collaboration of the Year. These finalist places recognise our dedication in providing compliance services to hundreds of homes across Great Britain, and thousands of energy efficiency measures over the last decade.
The Unlock Net Zero Awards
The Unlock Net Zero Awards seek to recognise and champion progress on the journey to decarbonisation for the UK housing sector and the supply chain that supports it.
The UK housing sector continues to build new low carbon homes whilst ensuring existing homes are retrofitted to reach the UK Government’s target of net zero emissions by 2050. These awards are an important opportunity to take a step back and review how far we’ve come, while sharing inspiration for where we go next in this transition.
Our Dedicated Sustain Service
Recognised at being at the forefront of social housing retrofit, we have delivered works to hundreds of homes in compliance with PAS 2035 and PAS 2030 throughout 2021-2022, alongside thousands of energy efficiency measures over the last decade.
Through our Sustain Centre of Excellence, we have formal agreements with a number of experts covering all retrofit roles (including Coordination, Design, Installation, Advice and Evaluation). Between the group, we have worked in thousands of properties and lodged 5,500+ measures to TrustMark.
Our collaboration and experience across the industry, combined with the internal training of our own teams has formulated a dedicated client offering that reduces risk and budget constraints from the outset.
Our ‘no win, no fee’ process for completing funding applications has been 100% successful and returned over £60m funding which clients would have been less likely to obtain without our proficiency and bespoke bid proposals.
Using this approach, we have led funding applications through upfront retrofit assessment, full energy modelling (increasing funding by av. £3,000 per property) and provided a dedicated, qualified bid manager to write the compliant submission on behalf of our clients – all free of charge. We believe our proposal encompasses true collaboration.
Our Head of Operations Charlie Cooley commented:
“It is a privilege to have been nominated for two Unlock Net Zero Live Awards. Our dedication in providing a specialist one-stop-shop service to assist clients to achieve their zero carbon targets across their portfolios has been greatly appreciated by many within the social housing sector.“ | “We believe every social housing resident should be able to access benefits of retrofit, regardless of who their landlord is. At a time of increased budgetary pressures, we specifically targeted and supported a range of smaller-scale Housing Associations, e.g., Redditch BC, South Derbyshire DC, and Manningham Housing Association, who may not have been successful in obtaining funding without the free-of-charge support offered by us.“ |
Awards Ceremony
The Unlock Net Zero Live Awards will take place as the opening ceremony at the CIH Housing 2023 conference. The event is held on Tuesday 27th June at Manchester Central. We’re very excited for the awards ceremony and can’t wait to see if we bring home any trophies on the night!
