NOVUS NAMED FOR MAJOR MERSEYSIDE RETROFIT PROGRAMME WITH ONWARD HOMES

We’re delighted to have been appointed by Onward Homes to deliver energy efficiency improvements to a number of homes in Merseyside to make them warmer, quieter, and more comfortable for customers.

The contract will see our expert team carry out sustainable improvements to 400 homes in the Kirkdale and County & Warbreck area of Liverpool. This will include the installation of wall insulation systems and loft insulation, as well as window and door replacements, and underfloor insulation, in order to upgrade the properties to an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) Band C rating.

Our partnership with Onward Homes is part of the Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund (SHDF) Wave 2.1 scheme. We worked with Onward Homes to secure £4.48 million for the project as part of the Liverpool City Region’s bid into the scheme, and the organisation will match fund the project with £10.86 million. In total, an estimated £15.3 million will be invested into the homes.

As part of the contract, we will undertake various activities to support the local community during the programme of works, starting with donating 50 Christmas hampers to local families to support them through the winter as well as gifting ten slow cookers to Everton in the Community’s latest project to teach local residents how to prepare and cook healthy meals.
