Novus Give a Gift Appeal spreads Christmas cheer
We’ve been getting into the festive spirit during December by helping our local communities. From decorating to donations, the season of goodwill is in full swing in our offices up and down the country!

This is the 5th year we have held a coordinated national charitable Christmas campaign asking all our employees to get involved. This campaign is called the ‘Novus Give a Gift at Christmas Appeal’ and involves employees from each of our area offices donating presents or fundraising, and then donating these gifts to charitable and good causes in their communities.

The kitchens and bathrooms team in Llay, Wrexham opened their doors to children from the local area letting them get creative by designing and making their own Christmas decorations. The team later handed out mince pies and chocolates to residents and groups in the local area, ensuring that nobody was left out of the festivities.

Novus Southampton has also been getting crafty this Christmas by redecorating a vulnerable Newbury teenager’s living room and donating arts and crafts materials to a vulnerable adult shelter. The donations didn’t stop there for the Southampton branch, with an array of Christmas gifts contributed to a Basingstoke homeless single mothers’ shelter.

East Midlands office this year offered their support to Broxtowe BC residents donating vouchers and trolley toking’s, they supported homeless people SAFE Charity, collecting clothing and toiletries for homeless people in the East Midlands.

Novus' Thetford office were asked to help Cotman Housing collect fresh fruit and vegetables, delivering what was collected to First Base who support local’s individuals in Norwich to provide food to those who are most in need this Christmas.

The Gateshead office supported the local food bank by donating food and encouraging people to donate by posting flyers. Over 12 tonnes of food was donated and will be given out to those in need who are living in Gateshead.

Gift wrapped presents will reach 31 families and make their Christmas unforgettable, thanks to the Burton office donating presents to the Pathway Project in Lichfield. This is a Charity that helps women and their children feeling domestic abuse.

Many more activities have taken place by our employees across the country, prior to the Christmas break.

Novus’ overall aim through these festive activities and donations is to help individuals in need and make someone’s Christmas just that bit merrier!
