Novus creates firefighter training tower in Gnosall
One of Staffordshire’s busy community fire stations received a boost thanks to a new training tower facility constructed by our team.

Gnosall Community Fire Station had been in need of an upgrade to its training facilities for a number of years, and the new training tower has given local fire fighters an ideal space in which to practice drills and exercises.
The new steel tower is a multi-level structure designed to simulate the various building heights that fire fighters regularly contend with, and includes stairways, windows and external rigging upon which the station’s personnel can hone their skills.
Following the designs laid out by architect Mark Lockley, the team worked hard to complete of the project within 12 weeks, minimising the disturbance to the station, which is an important hub for community events.
The £92,000 project involved the demolition of the existing tower and handling negotiations with the National Mobile Phone Company about relocating its services to ensure that disruption was kept to an absolute minimum. As well as the construction of the new steel tower, the team also resurfaced the fire station grounds.
