Novus chosen to refurbish charity's offices
We are delighted to have a won an £80,000 contract to refurbish offices in Sunderland for homelessness charity Centrepoint.
We are carrying out work in eight rooms on the basement, ground and first floors of one of the organisation’s terraced buildings, on Foyle Street.
The work will take place over six weeks and will include the completion of electrical work such as lighting and emergency lighting, along with the installation of CCTV and intruder alarms. We will also carry out decoration, plastering and joinery, install new toilets and complete external works including roofing and bricklaying.
A tenant will occupy the first floor of the building while the work is being carried out. We will liaise with the tenant weekly to ensure minimal disruption is being caused by the work, and will also make sure they have safe access to the building.
Mark Rapley, our Gateshead-based operations manager, said: “We are delighted to have been chosen to carry out this refurbishment project for Centrepoint. We will make sure the tenant occupying the building is uninterrupted throughout the work and that they have a safe, accessible environment and remain informed about the project.
“We are excited to be working in partnership with Centrepoint for the first time and hope that we will continue to work together on future projects.”
