NOVUS CELEBRATES HITTING THE HALFWAY MARK FOR ANNIVERSARY FUNDRAISING CHALLENGE

We have plenty of cause for celebration after hitting the halfway mark on our 10-year anniversary fundraising challenge just as colleagues across the company came together to celebrate the occasion.
We have a proud history of giving back to communities and charities, and when we asked our colleagues to help raise a total of £10,000 for good causes, the team took up the challenge – with Novus committing to matching the funds raised. And now, just four months into the challenge, we are delighted to have already hit the halfway mark.
Fundraising efforts include a monthly company-wide raffle, with all proceeds going directly to our two chosen charity partners, The Lighthouse Club, which offers financial and emotional support to those working in the UK construction industry, and national homelessness and advocacy charity Shelter. Our staff are also taking on individual challenges for causes close to their own hearts to ensure that the impact is felt as widely as possible.
The milestone coincided with our official 10th anniversary celebrations, which took place across our GB-wide network of 20 offices. All our employees gathered together in their regional hubs to mark the occasion with parties, games and fundraising activities.
We may have launched a decade ago, but Novus is part of a family business with a rich 126-year history. Currently owned by fourth and fifth generation Seddon family members, our shareholders and Board are all playing an active role in the celebrations and fundraising activities.
Alongside our charitable efforts, our year-long celebrations will feature colleague-centred recognition schemes including our ‘Shining Stars’ employee of the month initiative, with an end-of-year ceremony to announce the chosen Shining Star for the year. There are also teambuilding days in the works and good-natured competitive challenges between regional offices across Great Britain.
Commenting on the 10-year celebrations and charity milestone, Sophie Seddon-Hall, our Non-Executive Director said:
“I’m enormously proud of everyone’s involvement so far, and it was wonderful to bring people together from across the company to celebrate their fundraising achievements, inspire even more great work and thank everyone for their contributions to Novus’ success in the past decade.“ | “Throughout its 10-year history, our Novus colleagues have proven themselves to be generous with their time and money, whether that’s volunteering to refurbish a community centre close to one of our projects, or joining in with raffles and prize draws. So it comes as no surprise to me that we are already so far ahead with our anniversary fundraising efforts!“ |
