NOVUS AWARDS 70 INTERNAL PROMOTIONS THROUGHOUT 2022

Internal colleague development is a key part of our company values, and we focus on nurturing our employees to develop and maximise their personal and professional potential. It is because of this, last year 70 employees received promotions and 8898 training courses were delivered to 1066 colleagues.

Our nurturing of colleagues is best seen in the way we develop our people to be  prepared when job opportunities become available. We are then able to award promotions into more senior roles to support personal development and ensure we can reach our ambitious growth targets.

The continued focus on promoting our colleagues into new roles shows our commitment to growing our own talent and  providing opportunities to people when their developed skillset puts them in a position to move to the next stage of their career.

At the start of this year, we announced four promotions to our recently created D1 director level. This new level sits between our Senior Leadership Team and our Executive Board and is an important step for our business in our journey to 2026. We’re pleased to announce the following employees have been promoted to D1 Level:

Internal Promotions - Claire Bailey-Jones

Claire Bailey-Jones: Business Development and Marketing Director

Claire continues to lead the Business Development team, including the bid centre and newly the Marketing team. Claire joined us in May 2021 from Wates and has been vital in our business growth strategy, building a dedicated team, sustainable pipeline of future work and spearheading the Centre of Excellence for our Sustain brand. She will continue to ensure we stay relevant and continue growing in a changing marketplace.

Internal Promotions - Sam Frame

Sam Frame: Regional Operations Director

Sam is responsible for the North operations team and leading the project on embedding OneServe software across the business. Sam joined  Novus from Casey’s in 2013 and his potential was quickly noticed. Over the years  Sam has progressed through the ranks, holding the positions of Quantity Surveyor, Operations Manager and Head of Operations for the North West, building a depth of knowledge and experience along the way.

Internal Promotions - Matt Pitt

Matt Pitt: People Director

Matt continues leading the People team and will drive key people and transformation initiatives. Matt will work with our Head of SHEA in our focus on sustainability and wellbeing, our Head of IT & Data on accelerating adoption of new technology solutions, and our Business Transformation Manager on improving the mobilisation of strategic new contracts. Since joining in April 2020, he has built a strong team, transforming our approach to developing our colleagues.

Internal Promotions - Matt Cornish

Matt Cornish: Financial Controller

Matt will continue as our Financial Controller. Matt joined the business in April 2013, right at the start of Novus’ journey. Over the last ten years, he has been instrumental in building a strong Finance team and providing financial support to the Board and the wider business.

These promotions fully support the “Novus Way” of promoting from within, and we’re excited to see our new Directors flourish and grow with Novus. Congratulations, we wish you all the best in your new roles!
