Centrica reaps benefits of Novus refurb
Leading energy and services company Centrica has had its Langage Energy Centre in Plymouth remodelled by our team.

Named Project Fusion, we created a new open plan office space to Centrica’s precise specifications. Liaising with local architects, our team remodelled the office area, installed new electrical and lighting services and worked with Vodafone to install new data cabling. The area was fully decorated and carpeted throughout.

A new gymnasium was also created for staff use by converting a former storeroom into a space for exercise equipment, complete with a specialist gymnasium floor and air conditioning.

Tom Ellson, project manager at Centrica Energy, said: "The team from Novus has transformed our offices. The space has become a much brighter, open area that fits with our ambition and ethos of bringing people together and creating a one-team environment. The feedback we have had from our staff has been resoundingly positive.

"The new gymnasium is a big boost to our workforce, and we were excited to see the conversion that Novus carried out. What was previously a store room has become a really valuable facility for the people at Centrica who like to incorporate active lifestyle choices into their daily routine at work."

Nigel Humpherson, managing quantity surveyor at Novus, added: “We are delighted to have been able to help Centrica in its aims to keep staff at the Langage offices comfortable and well equipped to do their jobs.

“We liaised closely with Centrica management to ensure that the work we carried out exactly matched the brief we were given, and we worked in a carefully coordinated manner to ensure that workers at the offices suffered minimum disruption.”
