Quantity Surveyor

Based: Warrington office; Working on site in Manchester 80% and Warrington office 20%-  Monday to Friday, typically 8.30am – 5.00pm

Within our Healthcare Refurbishment works/Project programs, you will work both from office and on site, collaborating with your team in an environment that is inclusive and fair for everyone. With a structured development plan in place and opportunities to learn from an established team.

The role is to obtain and evaluate information to ensure a realistic cost for the supply of works, goods, materials, and services for designated Refurbishment/Projects. Whilst liaising with Contractors, Suppliers and Clients to ensure information, costs, profitability and value meet the requirements of designated project/contracts.

An outline of your responsibility as an Quantity Surveyor

  • Assist in the preparation, processing and selection of estimates, bids, and tenders to demanding timescales.
  • Assist in the development of the procurement programme.
  • Prepare and monitor cash flow forecast for designated projects
  • Prepare and submit monthly applications for payment to the Client/Client’s representative
  • Prepare monthly valuation reports
  • Submit invoices for certified value and ensure payments are received on time.
  • Value and authorise payments to sub-contractors.
  • Liaise with Contract Managers to establish the project specification and requirements.
  • Attend and contribute to meetings with work colleagues and or Clients/Customers when necessary, building relationships and demonstrating excellent communication skills.
  • Monitor the contract progress, assess, and report any changes that may affect project costs and or time scale.
  • Assist in the control of contract budgets.

About You

You will have experience of working as an Quantity Surveyor​ within the construction sector, which will give you the knowledge to hit the ground running and contribute effectively to the team. We will then give you the tools to work effectively within the Healthcare sector. Attention to detail and great written and verbal communication skills will be essential to your success. And you will be an expert with IT with proficient MS office skills. You also must hold a Full UK Driving Licence as travel is a must with this role.
