Places for People acknowledged for changing the lives of homeless service users
This year the Novus Excellence Awards highlighted some of the most inspiring of our Changing Lives projects, which have taken place throughout the year. The aim of these Changing Lives Awards was to acknowledge and highlight some of the most inspiring stories and to acknowledge the individuals and teams who have played a key role in making a difference. We asked our employees to put forward the Changing Lives projects they were most proud and the Poole Housing Partnership was one of ten Changing Lives projects acknowledged.

Our most ambitious social value strategy has seen us  deliver over 40 social value projects during 2015 through
the Places for People partnership, with one special project standing out. Novus was the lead partner helping transform a homeless support centre in Bristol. Over the course of a week period, over 20 Novus volunteers helped
transform a communal room into a social enterprise café that now acts as an important socialising, meeting, skills
development and well-being hub which plays a key role in helping the service users rebuild their lives.

"We work closely with our contractors to provide the best possible homes and improve everyday life for our customers. The project has made a real difference and will really help our customers to get their lives back on track.”
