NOVUS COFFEE MORNING RAISES £650 FOR MACMILLAN CANCER SUPPORT

Our Wrexham office held a coffee morning on Friday 24th September 2021 to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Due to working on a number of projects for Wrexham County Borough Council, the coffee morning was hosted at our roofing site in Hightown. Local residents, members of WCBC Roofing Team /Housing Department, Novus colleagues and Counsellor Graham Rogers all joined together to support this incredibly worthy cause.
We were overwhelmed at the donations of cakes and monies received and were delighted when Counsellor Rogers kindly agreed to judge our competition for best baked (or faked!) cake. A children’s colouring competition also took place and our Novus Bear was on hand to give out prizes.
Later on in the day, an environmental quiz took place and the winner was drawn at random by the Local Housing Officer.
The event was held along side our site compound in Gwydyr Way, which was also well supported with more than sufficient cakes being donated on the day. Some of the residents that attended commented that it was the first time they have caught up with friends for months due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. |
“It’s the first time we have seen some of our friends fir months due to Covid. It was lovely to catch up with them” |
Overall, we collected an amazing £583.70 on the day, which has since been increased making a grand total of £650 raised for Macmillan Cancer Support.
We are very proud to be playing our part to help such a worthy cause and supporting people that have been affected by cancer.
