We will increase awareness of environmental principles and practices, highlighting how our operations and services can impact the environment and promote more sustainable environmental practices in the workplace.

We will develop arrangements for the collection of verifiable data to support our Environmental Improvement Plan and future commitments.

We will reduce emissions from travel (including grey fleet and hired vehicles) by 30%.

We have already reduced fleet emissions by 19% with further decarbonisation strategies being produced to lower this even further by 2026.

We will reduce total emissions from energy use at branch offices by 30%.

Our office energy has reduced by 33% meeting our target four years early. We will still continue to improve energy efficiency at our offices.

We will promote the circular economy, identify waste by activity streams and reduce total construction waste by 45%.

Our diversion from landfill rate has increased to 95.3% and our overall tonnage produced has reduced by 18%. We are continuing to develop waste strategies to reduce further and are working with Business in the Community and our waste supply chain to increase circularity.

We will reduce office paper usage by 60%.

Target Achieved

We will recycle more than 80% of paint cans purchased by Novus.

We have already tripled the amount of paint cans recycled.

We will only use certified timber in our operations – 100%.
